The dormouse in the teapot and the Mad Hatter too, how do you do

And now the stuff run on my mathematics blog the past week. If you didn't see it in your RSS reader already (and Dreamwidth and Livejournal are themselves RSS readers, you know) you could pick things up here:

But I know you're really here to learn one thing. What's Going On In Mary Worth? Special Zippy the Pinhead Edition, May - August 2018 Your curiosity sated, you can go on to look at Gillian's Wonderland Pier some more.

The outdoor part of the park, by night. The Frontier Express monorail is getting in the way of the drop tower there.

Runaway Train roller coaster train running past the camera, on the nearest track. The ride's adjacent to the Giant Ferris Wheel.

Close-up of the skeleton clinging to the roof of the Haunted House. You saw it in that earlier picture. But I like the angry bird berating the skeleton.

View of the Glass House, the mirror maze. These sorts of rides are rarely as good as they should be, but they are better in the dark like this where the glass is harder to make out.

Kiddie motorcycle ride, here with one of the cars themed to Shrek to the point that it's a little unsettling to stare at too closely.

Pair of rabbits there as part of the scenery inside the kiddie motorcycle ride.

Pair of crows(?) also part of the scenery in the kiddie motorcycle ride. They're pretty well-dressed for the part, must say.

Gillian's Wonderland Pier has a Wacky Worm roller coaster and I may have taken the best picture ever of it based on how many people in it are looking concerned at me.

Back to Philadelphia Toboggan Company carousel #75! Some views of the horses, all painted white these days.

Trivia: The menu for English King Henry IV's wedding feast of 1403 included ``sugar plums, sugar made up with roses, comfitures of fruit, sage, ginger, cardamom, fennel, anise, coriander, cinnamon, powdered saffron''. Source: Sweets: A History of Temptation, Tim Richardson.

Currently Reading: Roving Mars: Spirit, Opportunity, and the Exploration of the Red Planet, Steve Squyres.
