Oh what a lovely day today

Haven't got the time to write up what's been going on this weekend. We'll catch up next week. For now, have some pictures of Motor City Furry Con's Sunday.

Back at the guy with the rock sculptures. Here's just rainbow-colored rocks not sculpted in any particular way, just being great to look at.

Here's a crystal hedgehog or something.

In the video game room. Once again they had the Quick And Crash shooting simulator. The sides have a lot of funny text on the panels explaining, for example, that you should put on protective gear like glasses and earplugs, ``not for safety, but for getting in the mood'', and you can play without them.

Couple of guys gathered around Earthshaker. They weren't able to find the start button and so I helped them with that. The start button has a set of concentric circles around it, and once they knew about it they agreed it was hard to miss, but, like, you have to learn what to look for. Modern games always have a start button with a flashing light behind, which helps.

What's this? Many people looked over the course of the weekend. Vix stored a couple of small tools in it, in a game tucked behind the Super Mario Brothers arcade cabinet, and folks would open it up and find it didn't have anything good inside and put it back.

Dance Dance Revolution game, crashed and trying to reboot.

Trivia: During the last moonwalk of Apollo 16, Ken Mattingly in the Command/Service Module carried out a 7.14 second burn, changing the plane of the capsule's orbit. Source: Apollo By The Numbers: A Statistical Reference, Richard W Orloff. NASA SP-4029. (This because the moon's rotation during the three days the Lunar Module was on the surface changed what orbits it could most efficiently reach.)
