You'll shake and shudder in surprise when you hear these zombies shriek
Didn't have the time to write up anything going on, so let's instead look at the last of my Calhoun County Fair pictures. Coming up soon: amusement parks!

And now here we are up on the Ferris wheel!

Looking forward along the Ferris wheel's axis, with the portable drop tower to the right.

The Ferris wheel seen from high above.

And looking over there is the Gravitron seen from high up.

Here I got a weirdly good photo of the Silver Streak, Gravitron, and a couple other rides to the right of the Ferris wheel.

Here, meanwhile, is a weirdly good photo of the Ferris wheel, kiddie coaster, and some of the midway rides.

Another look to the right, with a view of Zipper at full height.

Behind us were the RVs, some of which were working vehicles for the carnival and others that I imagine are for people working the fair or its animals or such.

Looking down on the off-brand Scrambler that we sometimes ride, and the swings that we almost never ride.

Back on the ground and taking more carousel pictures. They run their carousel fast and this maybe gives you some impression of the place.

Of course I tried for a tracking shot of the carousel and this is the best of the ones I managed.

And a last picture for the night, the Fun Slide looking nice and slick and glossy as someone gets ready to slide down.
Trivia: From 30 August 1798 schools, shops, and tribunals in France were all required to close on Decadis and on Quintidi afternoons, giving people 1.5 days off in ten, as opposed to the one in seven (1.43 in ten) of the pre-Revolutionary calendar.
