My dreams are getting better all the time

At least I think my dreams are getting better. I'm oversleeping more and today had a hard time keeping my eyes open, much less concentrating on writing my textbook. I should've given in and gone home after lunch.

I was sent a spreadsheet and asked to forward its contents to some e-mail address I never saw before. It seems to be connected to that student who wants to skip my course, but the sheet consists of the student's name, ID number, and a blank. Somehow I have the feeling that somebody is putting me on. They also want me to schedule my recitation sections. I don't know how many students I have, how many TA-hours I have, or how big the rooms are. I can't grasp picking my class hours; I always thought they were handed down from the Registrar.

Happy birthday to Skyler, who's not bunny slippers this week. And happy negative 275th birthday to Marrissa Picard, adopted daughter of Jean-Luc Picard. I need to work on that Mystery Science Theater 3000 treatment of ``Not Indefatigable''.

Trivia: In the 1930s George Herriman was earning US$750 per week, despite Krazy Kat appearing in only 35 newspapers. Source: George Herriman's Krazy Kat, Edited by Joseph Greene, Rex Chessman. (I'm not sure who to credit; the book says ``By Herriman'', but has ten producer, designer, captioner, et cetera credits, including researcher Ron Goulart, who must be the science fiction author as he wrote one really boring short story featuring Krazy and Ignatz. He's also written many novel proto-furry ideas, all of which feel like hoary clichés in his hands.)

Currently Reading: The Compleat Enchanter, L. Sprague de Camp and Fletcher Pratt.
