And for the other half of things: there's reporting on the winning Showcase Showdown spins for The Price Is Right. This report is kind of a space-filler since there's been only one full week of the 41st season, but, why not? These numbers also include two of the summer special episodes --- the ``Back To School'' and the 40th Anniversary specials --- since I had those laying around and had closed the books on the 40th season reports back in June. So far, for episodes airing up to the 29th of September, then:
First | Second | Third | |
---|---|---|---|
Month | 3 | 3 | 4 |
Season | 5 | 3 | 6 |
The lowest-winning-spin report has got rather few cases so far, in particular nobody winning after a tie. It's all been people who won free and clear, or who won after one or both other contestants over-spun. But the lowest winning spins to date are here:
No Overspins | One Overspin | Two Overspins | |
---|---|---|---|
Solo Win | 90 | 60 | 95 |
Tied Win | - | - | - |
Triple Tie | - | - | - |
Trivia: The Greenhouse George fusion bomb tested by teh United States in May 1951 released approximately 200 kilotons worth of energy as the result of its fission bomb design and a further 25 kilotons from the fusion of deuterium and tritium within the bomb design.
